We believe in love stories
We’re Lydia & Terren, and our passion is creating magic behind the lens. Together, we have a soft spot for love stories – we eloped in the magical Crested Butte wilderness in 2020, surrounded by an intimate group of dear family and friends amongst the wildflowers.
We are a dream team through and through – and who better to capture moments on an epic outdoor adventure than two people who are genuinely excited to hang out with each other and love exploring the great outdoors!?
Behind the scenes
Lydia and Terren, the dynamic duo at Mountain Magic Media, combine a passion for human connections and nature’s beauty. With keen eyes for candid moments and a knack for fun, Terren’s location expertise complements Lydia’s communication skills. They’ve been working as a team since 2017 and are deeply committed to helping clients create images that reflect their unique style and vision. Whether it’s romantic portraits, candid event shots, or stunning mountain landscapes, Lydia and Terren have you covered.
Hitting the trails
We love adventuring around our beautiful backyard of Crested Butte and the entire Gunnison Valley. You’ll often find us following at the heels of our pups, backpacks full of charcuterie and bubbles for a picnic. Whether we’re out skiing, biking, boating, climbing, camping, SUPing, or off-roading – you’ll find us ready to explore any time of year!
Friends gatherings
Potluck dinners and board game soirées are our absolute favorite ways to spend quality time with the people we love! We love cooking and baking, and what could be better than sharing our homemade meals with friends for a night in?
Out on the town
We love a fun excuse to dress up fancy or in costume for a party, and you can catch us dancing the night away at the Public House in Crested Butte or the occasional concert at Red Rocks! We don’t hit the bars very often, but when we do, it’s guaranteed to be for a spicy margarita at Bonez or the Dogwood Cocktail Cabin.
In the garden or garage
We love making our home cozy. When we’re not out adventuring, you can find us tending to our house plants, outdoor garden, practicing daily yoga, or working on a home improvement project. Our latest project: renovating a 1969 Airstream into a mobile bar with our bestie.

About Her
I (Terren) can’t wait for you to meet your Crested Butte photographer! Lydia is passionate about photography and has been since 2011. I am always impressed by her eagerness to grow as an artist. I love following her lead.
SHE IS A PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED PHOTOJOURNALIST.
Lydia graduated with honors receiving a photojournalism bachelor’s degree. Her style is inspired by human connections. She is gifted at creating beautiful imagery. More importantly, she makes people feel comfortable in front of her lens. She directs the scene if needed, using action cues to put people at ease with natural posing. Think of her as a stealthy ninja when she wants to blend in with the scene in order to capture candid moments. Her approach to photography, and life in general, is assertive while going with the flow in any situation. She is committed to having your style and vision shine through in all the magic moments. You’ll love reliving them forever
About Him
I (Lydia) am so excited for you to meet your other Crested Butte photographer! Terren (we call him T) is a Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley local since 2005. I am always so thankful to have his expertise during our shoots.
T IS THE MASTER OF SCOUTING THE PERFECT LOCATIONS.
T is the most hard-working person I know. He dedicates himself to our projects and produces outstanding results from start to finish. He anticipates my every need during a shoot. Usually, he hands me the gear I’m thinking of asking for before I even get a chance to say the words. (It’s like real magic!) He is an expert kid-calmer and dog-wrangler. T has a sharp eye for the little details when I am focused on the overall picture. He often offers a fresh perspective or new angle. As a talented craftsman, he hand-forges the most exquisite keepsake boxes that we are including in every package upgrade offered by Mountain Magic Media. We know you’ll cherish yours forever!

We lost our sweet Niko in August 2022 at the ripe age of 15 and we miss him dearly every single day.
FELIX
The Aloof Floof.
Toothless, loves belly rubs, salted butter, & yoga.

& Sir Fleafy Flooferton.
TYCHO
The Snuggle Monster. An accidental adoption, but we're obsessed.
Demands to be held like a baby. Very talkative, loves hunting his toys. Other names include: Tychul & Loomi Doomito.
GEOVI
The Oddball. Very quirky, eccentric, and a wild man, to be sure.
Loves any outdoor adventure and hates to be left alone. Other names include: Toes, Wootzie, and many more.
